The following Movie Maker presentation was created to highlight the main points of my I-Search paper. The presentation describes reading literacy, challenges faced by bilingual students and English Language Learners, and how speech-language pathologists can facilitate the development of reading literacy. As a retired high school teacher, I have always admired those who work with the elementary level students. Giving these youngsters the foundation they need to learn as they get older seems quite a challenge and when you include the bi-lingual aspect, it becomes even more difficult. I commend you on your work and the effort you are putting forth to educate ALL of America’s children.
